영국 유학 박람회의 성공적인 개최를 축하합니다.

On behalf of the British Council, I would like to extend my full support to the ed:m International Education Fair.

British Council has worked with ed:m in partnership since 2020. Together we support the higher education and career development aspirations of young people and professionals in Korea. I know ed:m aims to provide the best possible international education events this year in Seoul (5-6 October) and Busan (12 October).

In order to get the right advice on which higher education destination to apply for, I highly recommend visitors to your ed:m International Education Fair to take advantage of the expertise on offer. In particular, ed:m staff are able to support applications to the UK, which has maintained a strong reputation as a highly prestigious destination for Korean students. Last year nearly 5,000 student visas were granted to Korea nationals. Together ed:m and the British Council can help everyone to achieve their goals!

Indeed, for the USA as well, which had nearly 40,000 student visas last year, visitors to the Education Fair should know they can take British Council IELTS to prove their proficiency for US universities, while they can rely on ed:m to give valuable advice and guidance on what programmes/US institutes are most suitable for individual needs.

There is of course a lot of choice ahead of young people and professionals as they consider further study abroad. In order to find the very best options and make the best choices, everyone at British Council wishes ed:m a successful International Education Fair this October. Professional counselling guidance and expert knowledge will be available to help visitors take a very important next step in their study/career journey.

영국을 희망하는 한국 학생들을 환영합니다.

영국 교육기관 연합인 English UK와 436개 회원 센터를 대표하여, 국제교육에서 가장 우수한 행사인 영국유학박람회를 주최하고 운영하는 edm유학센터에 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

영국은 영어를 배우고자 하는 한국 학생들이 가장 선호하는 곳으로 오랜 시간 명성을 유지해 왔습니다. 지난 10년 동안 한국은 영국 유학생 수 상위 10위 국가에 항상 이름을 올려왔습니다.

그 이유로 주요한 두 가지 이유를 들 수 있습니다.

첫 번째는 세계적으로 명성이 높은 영국의 우수한 교육의 질입니다. 다른 나라에 더 멋진 해변과 더 높은 산이 있을지 모르겠지만, 진지하게 고민한 학생이라면 성장하고 학습 목표를 달성하는데 필요한 것은 교육의 질이라는 것을 알 것입니다. 영국에서는 영국문화원과 English UK가 제휴하여 운영하는 Accreditation UK라는 인증 제도를 통해 교육의 질이 보장되며 모든 English UK 회원 센터는 Accreditation UK 자격을 취득해야만 합니다.

두 번째 이유는 무려 영국 유학생 수의 1/3 가량을 배출하는 한국 대표 유학원인 edm유학센터가 오랜 시간 쌓은 전문성입니다. 특히 아시아권에서 온 대부분의 학생들은 유학할 곳을 선택하기 전에 영국에 와서 각지에 있는 20곳의 학교를 방문할 기회를 갖기 어렵습니다. 학생들은 어느 교육기관이 어떤 학생에게 가장 적합할지 아는 전문가들의 도움이 필요합니다. 그렇기에, 우수한 유학원이 학생들의 만족도를 높이는데 핵심적인 역할을 하며, 이것이 바로 English UK에서 유학원을 교육의 질을 높이는 진정한 파트너로 생각하는 이유입니다.
